A Delayed Homecoming
We’ve landed at JFK. But, our flight to Richmond is delayed by five hours. So, now we won’t get home until after 2 a.m. And, JFK is a madhouse because of delayed Thanksgiving return flights. I miss Egypt already!

Heading Home
Going to sleep soon. In the morning, we begin the long journey back to Richmond. This has been an amazing trip that we will always remember. I don’t know how we’ll ever top it!

A Kindle Sighting
I always see people write that they hear great things about the Amazon Kindle, but they’ve never sene someone using one out in public, that they’re never one in the NYC subway, etc. Well, today I chatted with an American woman on a flight from Aswan to Cairo while she was using her Kindle and loving it. So, if I can find a Kindke in Egypt perhaps you NYC subway riders just need to look...

A Geek Moment
I have used an Apple Airport Express to create a Wi-Fi network on the 11th floor of the (surprisingly elegant) Cairo Marriott and am using the Wi-Fi to post this from my iPhone. Amazingly, Francisca is totally unimpressed by this. On another note, security here is very tight. Cars coming in pass by a bomb-sniffing dog and their underbodies are searched via mirror before a road barrier is removed...

Nile River Cruising

They jockey for lane position, pass each other, and cut each other off. The drivers yell at each other through their windows and angrily blown their horns. In many ways, the Nile is just like the streets...

Cancelled: 'Pushing Daisies', 'Dirty Sexy Money'... →
danhacker: RIP - ’Pushing Daisies’, ‘Dirty Sexy Money’ and ‘Eli Stone’ Looks like the bright execs over at ABC just delivered the bad news to all three show’s productions teams today. Each show will be allowed to finish out their 13 episode installments and will cease production immediately after that the 13th episode is wrapped. While not officially “canceling” the series, production on each...
