Just “invested” in $90 in an array or rechargeable batteries and a charger. Being environmentally conscious is pricey!

FeedBurner/Google Creating AdSense for RSS Feeds →
I’ve always loved FeedBurner and when Google acquired them, it was pretty clear the reason for the acquisition was to scale AdSense to RSS feeds. I just hope they manage to keep the ads from being too intrusive. Given Google’s and FeedBurner’s history with ads, I’m betting they will handle it elegantly. We’ll see.

I can’t believe there are actually people who believe Rachael Ray is calling for jihad in a Dunkin’ Donuts commercial. Is this real life or The Onion?

The Miracle Fruit, a Tease for the Taste Buds →
cubicle17: This must be a trip (so to speak): The berry rewires the way the palate perceives sour flavors for an hour or so, rendering lemons as sweet as candy. […] The cause of the reaction is a protein called miraculin, which binds with the taste buds and acts as a sweetness inducer when it comes in contact with acids… At ~$2 per berry, it’s a bit expensive, but this just sounds too wild...

The Power of My Blog
Earlier this week, I posted a letter to Jeff Bezos. Among my requests was that Amazon make Love The One You’re With available on the Kindle for my wife. Well, just one day later, bam! Oh, the power of my blog! ;-P

Napster MP3 Store to Rival iTunes Store With 6... →
Apple needs to very quickly cut deals with the large record labels to drop DRM. And, moving from AAC to MP3 (or at least offering an MP3 purchasing option) may be needed too. If not, I predict that Amazon, Napster or other DRM-free MP3 stores will eventually eat into iTunes Store music sales big time. Interestingly, the Napster Store doesn’t work with Safari. A little slap at Apple? It looks...

Initial Thoughts on the Netflix Player by Roku
Having read the specs and seen the photos and videos, here are my initial thoughts on the Netflix Player by Roku: The Good At $99, the price is right. It’s small and lightweight, so it should fit in almost any cabinet or console. It could even be seen as portable. (Though, the same could be said of the Apple TV.) Existing Netflix subscribers don’t have to pay anything additional per...

Dear Jeff Bezos
Dear Jeff Bezos, You don’t know me. But, I buy at least an e-book a week on the Kindle Store and evangelize the Kindle to strangers literally every day who ask me, “Hey, what the heck is that thing?” So, I have two favors to ask. First, could you give us a place on Amazon.com to request that specific books be Kindlelized? I’m sure you’re already focused on...

– For Senate, Clinton (Bill) - New York Times (via fred-wilson) I have to wonder if this would really make Bill Clinton happy. He’s used to being President with all the power and prestige of that office. Under this plan, even with his stature, he would still be a first-term junior senator. And,...

How Apple is Changing DRM →
Interesting piece and it’s true the record companies’ insistence on DRM has increased Apple’s power in the music space. But, Apple is the #1 music seller in the U.S. rather than #3. And, I still don’t see Jobs going for a subscription model.

Automatically Pausing iTunes From Firefox?
joelaz: You know how the iPhone automatically pauses the music you’re listening to when a call comes in? I want a feature like that for my browser.
