Something went wrong with the adorable manatee feeding video I uploaded earlier. So, here’s a version that works.
There was a pretty crazy amount of condensation in the cabin on our flight to Lima this evening.
Some of our fellow cruise passengers gave small gifts to these village children. Patrick’s gifts of whistles made him particularly popular with the kids, though perhaps less popular with their parents.

Offline for a Bit
We are currently in Iquitos, which is the most populous city in the world that cannot be reached by car. You can only get here by plane or boat. That said, there are over 300,000 people here and it’s much more developed than I would have guessed.
We are leaving our hotel to see some of the rainforest and will then go on a four-day cruise of the Amazon River. So, I probably won’t have...

The Commonwealth of Virginia’s Department of Emergency Management (my old employer!) is using Tumblr to get out news about flooding, power outages (90,000 now), and road/tunnel closures from the crazy amount of rain the Commonwealth is getting.
