If you haven’t tried Space’s / BBC America’s new series, Orphan Black, you really need to make that happen. One of the best new shows I’ve seen in awhile. Instantly hooked. And, it’s already been green lit for Season Two!

Just look at that response over something we take completely for granted now just 14 years later.
Love the camera man over-the-shoulder as the way to show it on the big screen.
And the hula hoop — look ma, no wires! — is just a brilliant, Steve Jobs touch.
I remember the feeling of utter amazement the first time I took my laptop out onto the porch and had internet. It was astonishing.
I was in the audience at this keynote and remember it fondly. It was Steve Jobs at his very best. At the end, he revealed that Apple employees with AirPort-equipped iBooks were sitting throughout the audience so we could see the new laptops up close. One of them stood up two seats down from me and pulled an iBook out from under her chair. It all felt like magic!

Elixr 1.0.2 Now Available
The 1.0.2 version of the Elixr app is now available. Improvements since our 1.0 release include:
- Username autocomplete (as shown in video). Just start typing the ‘@’ character in any text field and we’ll figure out who you’re trying to mention.
- New activity notification. The account icon will pulse briefly when you have new followers, comments, or likes in your Activity Feed.
- Better Foursquare results when finding a venue during posting.
- Runs on the iPad in iPhone size.
- Bug fixes and optimizations. Because who doesn’t want a better app?
If you have Elixr installed, the App Store should offer you the upgrade automatically. Or, you can install it.
Paris Cocktail Culture with Forest Collins
Forest Collins is the creator of 52 Martinis, a search for the best cocktails in Paris. You can find her under 52martinis on Elixr.
She was kind enough to chat with me (Marc) about what brought her to Paris, the evolution of the Paris cocktail scene, and her love of gin and the gin martini. And, I think I finally found a microphone setup that isn’t massively annoying.
