I was taken aback that almost all of my recent RSS feed subscribers are using Fever. The uptake on server-based software installs is quite honestly a bit of a surprise.
Awesome. I’ve been looking for a newsreader like Fever for a long time, and I am a very satisfied customer so far. It certainly lacks any number of features in its fresh, 1.0 state. But Inman nailed some fantastic fundamental news and UI innovation that the big dogs have so far completely overlooked.
I signed up for Fever last night and am enjoying it so far. The UI is gorgeous and the Hot feature is unique and interesting,
There are some issues with the iPhone web view. Opening an external web page often creates an extremely zoomed-in Back frame and so you must resize or change orientation to really view anything. And, some external pages lose the Back frame so there is no way to go back to the Fever view without closing and relaunching the whole thing.
Hope those issues get fixed. Otherwise, I’m very impressed.
